Delta Dental PPO and Delta Dental Premier® networks

Our Bronze, Silver and Gold Plans come with access to the Delta Dental PPO network. They're designed to give you the greatest opportunity for savings when you visit a Delta Dental PPO network dentist. You maximize your coverage and out-of-pocket cost savings with this network.

Plus, they come with added access to the Delta Dental Premier network. Since our Premier network is slightly larger than our PPO network, it acts like a “safety net” to ensure you can access in-network care. It's kind of like a network within a network.

DeltaCare® USA network

The Platinum Plan is like a dental HMO and comes with access to the DeltaCare USA network. These dentists accept fixed copays for covered services and manage all of your dental care needs. If you choose the Platinum Plan, you must select a primary care dentist from the DeltaCare network.

Our Gold, Silver and Bronze plans are standard preferred-provider network plans (PPO).

You pay coinsurance for covered services.
You can visit any Delta Dental PPO dentist for care.
You don't have to select a primary care dentist to manage everything for you.

Our Platinum Plan is a dental HMO where you have fixed copays for all covered services. You must select a primary care dentist who manages all of your care, otherwise your coverage won't work.

Platinum Plan

This plan offers coverage for all dental services, including orthodontia.

It's a great plan for people who like the idea of having fixed copays for services.

However, you must select a primary care dentist from the DeltaCare network. It's smaller than the Delta Dental PPO network.

What about coverage for specialty care?

With these plans, you can choose to visit any licensed specialist for dental care. However, you get the most bang for your buck with a Delta Dental PPO network specialist.

You must get a referral from your DeltaCare primary care dentist to visit a DeltaCare network specialist.

Does it offer out-of-network protection?

Yes. However, you will likely experience greater out-of-pocket costs. With these plans, we pay out-of-network benefits based on our copayment levels for in-network providers. Therefore, an out-of-network dentist will likely balance-bill you the difference.
